Proper Pop Up Mirror
A pop up experience mirror installation at Night Tales, Hackney, for Proper.
To create a huge, bright and vibrant Proper fragola-inspired mirror for their new brand campaign, “Lookin’ Like a Snack”.
A bespoke, illuminated pop up experience, perfect for social sharing and a real talking point for patrons of Night Tales.
We’ve been working with Proper for many years, and when they briefed us on their new “Lookin’ Like a Snack” brand campaign, we couldn’t wait to see what exciting activations they might have in the pipeline.
Influenced by the ultrafragola mirror trending on TikTok, Proper wanted to create a pop up experience that could be shared on social platforms whilst also exciting the crowds in Night Tales, the outdoor terrace hangout space under the archways of Hackney Central station.
Featuring a super-bright halo light bar at the front, and customisable RGB lighting at the back, the mirror was designed to provide the perfect selfie conditions. The high-reflection Dibond mirror material was picked for its external grading, meaning it’s tough enough to be reused and also suitable for outdoor conditions.
The 3D letter strapline and hand graphics were secured to prevent tampering and reinforced with a tough crystal-finish laminate to protect from any accident spills. The pop up experience was weighed down with breeze blocks concealed at the rear to guarantee stability.
Taking the initial concepts into 3D software allowed us to understand how the mirror would look once built. We created realistic visuals and technical drawings to share with Proper and once signed off, we prebuilt the final pop up in our facility.
The Proper mirror was designed and delivered on a very tight timescale and we worked closely with the Proper team us to ensure their aims were satisfied. The installation in Night Tales ran smoothly and with an excellent level of finish as standard from our events team.
Proper were really happy with their “Lookin’ Like a Snack” mirror, and it has since been installed in H&M in Westfield. We’re looking forward to seeing where Proper’s campaign goes next!
