Showcasing Recare’s range of enablement equipment through an inclusive and welcoming stand.
The challenge
To design an inclusive space that showcased the variety of equipment on offer and to create distinct areas for the different brands.
The result
A 4m tall column with plenty of branding, a huge zoned floor space for product and plenty of powerful lighting to draw in the show visitors.
Naidex Show at the NEC in Birmingham is Europe’s most established event for supporting independent living. We worked with Recare to design and install their stand at the show, with the aim of showcasing their product range of enablement equipment.
In the centre of the stand was a huge 4 metre tall column with information displayed on printed panels and large screens. The column had an internal storeroom with a secure, lockable door, providing space to hide away electronics, staff belongings and extra stock. At the front, a welcome counter provided a point of entry for visitors and a handy area for keeping site collateral such as leaflets.
We made the column with our modular aluminium framework, an environmentally friendly way of creating structures with recyclable panel graphics. Our frames provide excellent stability and are reconfigurable for a variety stand layouts that can be used again and again.
Recare had a large space available for their stand which was perfect for the wide variety of equipment they offer. To help distinguish between the various brands they stock, the carpet was split into 3 different coloured zones which corresponded with the content on the central column. This allowed visitors to easily navigate to the products that were most suitable to their demographic.
Lighting was key for such a large space and several lighting totems with powerful spotlights helped to bring the product to life. The column had downlights and flood lights to further brighten the stand and enhance the information panels.
We designed the stand in 3D CAD software, allowing us to create technical drawings and realistic visuals of how the event space would look. Our design team also provided graphic design services to create the print content for the show.
The structure was prebuilt in our facility and all the graphics tested beforehand, giving our installation team complete confidence on the show day. We also tested all provided video media files for the screens so there were no surprises, such as file incompatibility or missing sound.
The stand was successfully installed at Naidex Show at the NEC and handed over to the Recare team, who were very happy. We look forward to working with Recare again.
